Which tiles? The dimensions are variable, but the tiles most often measure 66 x 50 cm. The most common thicknesses are 5, 7, 8 and 10 cm. The first (5 cm) is especially suitable for lining partitions. For partition walls, 7 or 8 cm tiles are generally used, while a thickness of 10 cm provides good sound insulation. There are also vertical honeycomb tiles which have the advantage of allowing drying air circulation inside the partition.
Easy installationIt is the ease of installation of plaster tiles that made them successful. Indeed, the assembly of the partitions is done quickly, using a special glue, based on plaster, called "binder-glue", which must be mixed with water. It is easier to use than plaster thanks to its plasticity and a setting retarder: the use time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
